Inquisitor Lightsaber β Double-Bladed Replica from ISABER
Introduction
The Inquisitor lightsaber from ISABER is a replica of the signature weapon used by the Grand Inquisitor and his Jedi-hunting Inquisitorius in Star Wars Rebels. It's not your standard saber β this one's a double-bladed design with a rotating hilt, and it can split into two separate single-bladed sabers.
It's available in three configurations: RGB Baselit ($509), Xenopixel V3 ($659), and Proffie ($769). All versions come with dual duel-grade polycarbonate blades, aluminum hilt, and rechargeable batteries. At the moment stock is limited across all variants.
ISABER is not associated with Lucasfilm or Disney. This is an independent sabersmith replica built for cosplay, dueling, and display.

The Design: Double-Bladed Rotating Hilt
The Inquisitor lightsaber has a very distinct look. Instead of a solid staff-like body like Darth Maul's, the hilt has a rotating ring mechanism in the middle. This lets the blades spin β which is exactly what the Inquisitors do in the show. They use the spinning motion to deflect blaster bolts and create a visual distraction in combat.
The hilt is aluminum and feels solid. It comes as one piece with two blades, but here's the clever part β you can separate it into two independent single-bladed sabers. That gives you a lot of flexibility depending on what you're doing. Cosplaying the Grand Inquisitor? Use the full double-bladed setup. Want to dual-wield? Just split them.
The design is more complex than a standard hilt, which is reflected in the price. Even the entry-level RGB version starts at $509, and the higher-end versions push into premium territory.
Soundboard Options
RGB Baselit ($509, regular $649)
The entry-level option. 12W RGB LED in the hilt, 2mm polycarbonate blades, 30+ sound fonts. You get smooth swing, flash on clash, blaster block, and gesture control. Bluetooth is included for on-the-fly adjustments. The 18650 3000mAh battery handles both blades, which is pretty efficient for an in-hilt setup. The Baselit version doesn't include a stand, blade plug, or premium case β just the saber, blades, and charger.
Xenopixel V3 ($659, regular $729)
The mid-range upgrade. 50W LGT RGB Neopixel strips inside 3mm blades give you smooth ignition animations, unstable blade effects, rainbow transitions, and 10 different ignition styles including blaster mode. You get more blade colors (22+ vs 12 on the Baselit) and the same 9 themed sound fonts. Controlled via the XenoConfigurator Bluetooth app β no programming needed. The 3600mAh battery handles the higher draw of the Neopixel strips. Comes with a stand, blade plugs, and a premium case.
Proffie ($769, regular $869)
The flagship option. Same basic hardware as the Xenopixel (3mm Neo blades, 50W strips, 3600mAh battery) but with the Proffie soundboard β fully programmable via Arduino IDE. If you want complete control over blade styles, sound profiles, and behavior, this is the one. OS7+ support for unlimited blade styles. Note: it doesn't have gesture control or Bluetooth β you configure it through the SD card or USB connection to your computer. Comes with 20+ sound fonts and the same accessories as the Xenopixel (stand, blade plugs, premium case).
Sound Themes Included
One cool thing about this saber β it comes with 9 character sound fonts right out of the box:
- Darth Sidious
- Leia
- Silla
- Kylo Ren
- Mandalorian Darksaber
- General Obi-Wan Kenobi
- Cal Kestis
- Darth Vader
- Darth Revan
- Count Dooku
That's a solid mix of prequel, original trilogy, and sequel era sounds. You're not stuck with one theme.
What's in the Box
RGB Baselit:
- Inquisitor hilt with installed soundboard and battery
- 2 Γ 36-inch polycarbonate blades (2mm)
- USB charger
- Allen key & screw pack
- User manual
Xenopixel & Proffie (adds):
- Premium carrying case
- Display stand
- 2 Γ blade plugs
- 3mm Neo blades instead of 2mm
Performance & Durability
The double-bladed design changes how you use this saber compared to a standard single-blade. The rotating hilt mechanism means there are more moving parts, so it's worth keeping an eye on the center connection over time.
Both blades are 1-inch diameter polycarbonate β duel-grade, not display-only. The RGB uses 2mm wall thickness, the Neopixel versions use 3mm. Since there are two active blades, the weight distribution is different from a single saber. It takes a bit of practice to spin it smoothly, but that's true of any double-bladed design.
Battery-wise: the RGB's 3000mAh cell handles two in-hilt LEDs comfortably. The Neopixel versions draw more because each blade has its own LED strip β the 3600mAh battery is essential here. All batteries are standard 18650s, removable and replaceable.
Who Is This For?
- Inquisitor cosplayers β if you're doing a Rebels-era Imperial Inquisitor, this is the centerpiece
- Double-blade enthusiasts β distinct from Maul's staff design, gives you more options
- Solo players who want flexibility β the ability to split into two sabers means one purchase, two configurations
- Collectors β the rotating hilt and separable design make it a unique display piece
Care & Maintenance
- The rotating center mechanism should be checked periodically β especially if you duel with it
- Store the sabers separated if you're not planning to use the double-bladed configuration for a while
- Charge with the included USB charger only
- The stand (included with Xenopixel/Proffie) is recommended for display to avoid pressure on the center ring
- Check hex screws after heavy use
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Is the Inquisitor lightsaber screen-accurate?
A: It's a replica of the Grand Inquisitor's weapon from Star Wars Rebels. The rotating hilt and double-bladed design match the on-screen prop. ISABER is an independent sabersmith, not a Lucasfilm licensee.
Q2: Can it actually spin?
A: Yes. The center ring rotates freely, allowing the blades to spin during combat or display. This is the signature feature of the Inquisitor lightsaber design.
Q3: Can I split it into two sabers?
A: Yes. The hilt separates into two independent single-bladed sabers. Each has its own battery and soundboard.
Q4: What's the difference between RGB, Xenopixel, and Proffie on this saber?
A: RGB ($509) is in-hilt LED with 2mm blades β solid colors, good sound. Xenopixel ($659) has Neopixel strips in 3mm blades β smooth ignition, 22+ colors, app control. Proffie ($769) is fully programmable via Arduino β maximum customization, but needs coding knowledge.
Q5: Can I duel with it?
A: Yes. All versions use duel-grade polycarbonate blades (2mm for RGB, 3mm for Neopixel). The hilt is aluminum. Just keep an eye on the center mechanism.
Q6: How many sound fonts are pre-installed?
A: 30+ on RGB and Xenopixel, 20+ on Proffie. All versions come with 9 character sound themes (Sidious, Vader, Kylo Ren, Darksaber, etc.).
Q7: Does it come with a stand?
A: Included with Xenopixel and Proffie versions. Not included with the RGB Baselit.
Q8: What battery does it use?
A: Standard 18650. RGB uses 3000mAh, Xenopixel and Proffie use 3600mAh. All are removable and rechargeable.
Q9: How long does shipping take?
A: ISABER ships within 24 hours with free worldwide shipping. Delivery time depends on your location.
Q10: Is the blade included?
A: Yes, two blades are included (one for each side). RGB gets 2mm polycarbonate, Xenopixel/Proffie get 3mm Neo.
Q11: Does it have Bluetooth?
A: RGB and Xenopixel have Bluetooth. Proffie does not β it's configured via SD card or USB to computer.
